Holiday Gift Guide for Kids

Hey hey friends!! I've rounded up some of my ideas for gift ideas for kids. Most of these items are on my list for my kids. I also think a lot of these ideas are gender neutral.

I saw this game on Momfessionals and looked it up right away. It looks so fun and my kids LOVE playing games. This would be fun to add to our collection. (Edited- we ended up getting this!)

Another fun game to add to our collection! (we ended up getting this)

I think these look so cozy for the upcoming winter months. Loving the different prints available too! Pair it with some slippers and there ya go!

My girls have an Instax camera from last Christmas but I thought I'd add it to this year's guide too because my girls LOVE them. They're so fun for them! I'm going to toss some film into their stockings this year.

Although I will be griping about the beads that will inevitably end up on my floor- these are so fun and my girls could spend hours working on them.

When I saw this kit, I instantly thought of Saidey. She'd love this kit and actually, so would Sophia!

This one is fun, too!

My girls also love making these bracelets. We have so many, I'm not sure we need more but it definitely keeps them busy!

We got these watches/activity trackers for the girls this summer. Saidey had been asking for a watch for a few years- and would pick out cheap ones at Claires or Justice. I had been successful in talking her out of it but finally figured if she wants a watch, I wanted it to be functional and last. I did a little research and happened upon these. We LOVE them- they don't need to be charged for a year (the battery can be replaced) and they are waterproof. They keep track of the time, activity level, chores/rewards and overall have held up great. You can buy additional bands too.

Amazon Echo Dot

We got this for the girls. I love that they can play music (they love listening to a sound machine at night), listen to stories, and listen to the weather forecast. I also love that we can set parental controls on it.

Experiences vs. toys

In the recent years, getting experiences as gifts has gained in popularity and I'm loving this idea!

Some favorites we've been gifted/gifted to the girls are:

Tickets to our local play house
Season tickets to the local zoo, science center, living history farms
Season tickets to Adventureland (locals)
Gift card to movie theatre
My mom got the girls gift cards last year to be used throughout the year (Skateland, Chuck E Cheese, Starbucks)
Gift card for Glazed Expressions (a local pottery place)

Look around your town/city and get some ideas for experience gifts!

I've even tossed around the idea to Will that in the future- I'd LOVE to skip gifts altogether and just go on a big trip together over the holidays! Someday, someday....

Also, check out my ideas for stocking stuffers on Des Moines Moms Blog here!

Also- I did a gift guide for a first birthday. For littles, there are some great Christmas ideas there too! You can find that post here.

So, there ya have it. What are on your kid's lists this year?
