Sophia,
You're turning 7 this year and I can hardly believe it ( I know, I know, I say this every year!) And like years before, you amaze me with your ability to turn me to mush with one look into those big, brown, almost black eyes of yours. As each year goes by, you are turning into one lovely, simply amazing young lady. You feel BIG and you love BIG. You do everything with such intention and grace and can get frustrated if you don't get something right away. This can be hard for you but you are working really hard to keep preserving, even if you get frustrated.
You are kind and oh so tender hearted- you feel for others and are able to recognize when they are hurting too. You are inquisitive and want to know why they are hurting and how you can help. You are sensitive and thoughtful and a loyal friend. You thrive on routine and like to know what to expect. You can get nervous in new situations and like to dip your toes in first, before jumping. But once you get a feel for the situation, you go for it and do it BIG.
You love reading, writing, and creating stories. You love drawing and creating masterpieces. I love that about you and I hope your love for reading and writing just keeps growing. You love getting dressed and picking out outfits and I love seeing your unique style come to life. Getting dressed up doesn't stop you from digging in the dirt and getting your hands dirty.
You have such a strong bond with your sister. I love seeing your relationship with her unfold. While I know she gets on your nerves sometimes and you try to reason with her to no avail- you are so protective of her and take her under your wing, especially in new situations.
You, my girl, are sunshine, grace, and love all wrapped into one so very special little girl. We are so proud of the young lady you are becoming and we want you to know how special and WORTHY you are everyday.

Since her 4th birthday, I've asked her the following questions on her birthday. I love seeing how some of her answers have changed and how, hilariously, some have stayed consistent throughout the years! We have an exciting weekend of celebrating this truly special girl of ours- her party is on Saturday and on Sunday, her actual birthday, we're going to take her on a little adventure by herself while Saidey stays home with Grandma and Papa.
