Well, folks, it's been about a month since my last post, which I think is a pretty good testimony to show how dang busy we've been!

Sophia is 13 months if you can believe that! It seems like she is changing each and every day, learning more and more! Here are just a few new tricks she has up her sleeve!

Doing actions to the Itsy Bitsy Spider
Stomping her feet to music
Walking backwards
Spinning in circles
Recognizing/pointing to nose and working on eyes, mouth, ears
Tickling feet
Sniffing shoes and feet :)
Bringing us her shoes to put on her feet
Following simple directions

She loves shoes. I love it. :)

She started her new daycare and at her first few days she did great! Then, it seemed as if the light switched on and she realized she was somewhere new because the next few days she was miserable and super clingy. She also started to dislike going outside and even the mention of "outside" would result in her throwing herself on the ground in a fit. She also didn't like walking outside either and would throw a fit until someone carried her. I am happy to report that she is now walking outside and is doing much better. She seems to be picking things up at daycare too, new things that she'll do and we know we haven't done it at home so that's pretty neat to see.

I have begun my internship at House of Mercy and I absolutely love it! It's a good feeling to know you're in the right place and that my schooling has paid off and I can say that I truly love what I do. I am super excited to start seeing clients and facilitating group and individual sessions with the women.

We've had a jam packed summer, full of traveling and just enjoying ourselves! We've made it to Kansas City, Lansing and Marshalltown to get our fill of family and friend time. We're sad to see the warm summer days go but we are really excited for what the next few months ahead will bring us!
