As new parents, a common question asked, is, "is she/he sleeping through the night" with Sophia, she started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks and with only an occasional wake up during the night since. She can even sleep through Saidey's crying.
Saidey has also been a decent sleeper however goes in spurts of sleeping through the night to waking up once, sometimes even 2 or 3 times to eat and go back to sleep. Since she is nearing a year and we are waking up 1-2 times a night, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong by getting up with her. At her appointment Monday, our pediatrician recommended to start cutting back on nighttime nursings. I left feeling a little confused and then today, found an article that puts things in perspective again.
If I change the way I think about what she is supposed to be doing and continue to do what is best for us, I think we're doing all right! And besides, this is only a small period in our lives and she will only be this little for so long. So, nurse away I say! :)
Sorry on mobile and can't get it to link correctly- it's the first article in the search!
